About African Jewelry Designs

The company began as a way to help my daughter and granddaughter to make some money on their own. They have been dealing with major medical issues for several years and my daughter Julie was unable to continue working to have the time to take Nicole to her various doctors for treatments. She also needed to be home for Nicole's in-home teachers.

For the last 4 years my jewelry was listed first on eBay, then gradually to Etsy and Artfire. Etsy carries my daughter's line of Awareness bracelets and anklets under www.etsy.com/shop/twenty2roses. She has bracelets and anklets covering all the major diseases, cancers, afflictions and sells to many support groups.

A friend from Turkey who goes back to visit for several months a year, is supplying me with many versions of the evil eye beads and charms. These make fun items to ward off any possible bad vibes that might come your way.  They are featured on www.etsy.com/shop/marshmellobling.

Another friend with the State Department started me on my African jewelry designs, sending me a variety of beads while on assignment in Ghana. See more at About African Beads.

I lived and worked in Honolulu, Hawaii, with the best weather on the planet. I have had a graphic web design & development business there for the past 14 years. In the summer of 2014 I moved my business to Hideaway, Texas, near Tyler to be closer to our kids.

You can reach me at rquest@africanjewelrydesign.com anytime. I'm happy to entertain special requests if I have the time and beads to accomplish what you're looking for.
